A man was beaten with a weapon in the evening in central Jönköping.
The police were on the spot arrest a suspect.
It was at 20:24 in the evening that the police were alerted to an address in central Jönköping. On the site there was a man who had been grossly abused, among other things, he being beaten in the head with a weapon.
– A person could be arrested on the spot, says Anneli Johnsson-Hammo, duty officer at the police in Jönköping .
The arrested man is born in 1945, police said.

The injured man was run ambulance to the hospital. His condition is described as serious.
