Ten people were injured, including four seriously, in an apartment fire in Norsborg late Friday night.

– We took out four people out of the apartment, says Per Hultman, COO Södertörn Fire Prevention Association.

At 23:35 pm on Friday night were the emergency services to an apartment fire in Norsborg.

When firefighters arrived on the scene fire fully developed. Several people were left in the apartment and was helped out by firefighters.

A total of ten people taken to hospital. Four of them are in a critical situation.

– We took out four people out of the apartment, they are very seriously injured. Two people who lived in a neighboring apartment have been taken to hospital with smoke inhalation, said Per Hultman.

A child should be among the injured.

– The child was smoke damage and I think the most went with observation, says Per Hultman.

Six people were injured by the smoke

Later in the night, police said that four other people injured.

– There was a smoke-filled stairwell so there are many who have had smoke damage, says Jenny Svedholm, KC-command at the Stockholm police.

Shortly after midnight the fire was extinguished. The injured have been taken to hospital, one or more of the ambulance.

The event was headlined initially as arson, but according to the police’s website is now being investigated fire that devastation endangering the public.

The police have interrogated witnesses on the spot and have cordoned off the apartment for technical examination.
