Bathhouse in Saffle closed after roof collapses – Swedish Radio

The Bath House Saffle had to close today after the ceiling collapsed. No one was harmed.

The staff heard earlier today how it began to creak in the ceiling. The decision was taken to close the bath house and a few hours later collapsed ceiling set. Large chunks hanging down toward the water.

– It was very creepy but nice that we took the decision to close before the collapse came, says manager Elisabeth Hahne.

Now, the whole ceiling to be replaced, work will begin immediately. But when the bathhouse can open again is unclear.

– We’ll see when the roof is finished. It is a fairly large building. The pool is 25 meters and so will stand on that, says Elisabeth Hahne.

The Bath House would have opened to the public at three o’clock in the afternoon, and earlier today was a school class booked.

– However, we could then close before, and it feels very good, says Elisabeth Hahne.
