Police raided the hoses on Facebook – Expressen

The requirements for the police to be allowed to use provocative actions

necessity and proportionality principles should be taken into account.

It is never permissible to provoke someone to commit a crime that he would not otherwise have committed.

There should be a strong suspicion of a crime.

Provocative actions may only be used to uncover serious crime .

Decisions provocation should be made by prosecutors, provocation actions must be carefully documented.

The police spied on Facebook and declared themselves to be people who wanted to buy drugs.

Then they beat to.

The initiative “The Spider” has now led to several arrests.

– In some cases, we have made several purchases before we struck, said input boss Stefan Edin.

For nearly two weeks ago examined Expressen the widespread sale of drugs and narcotics on Facebook.

The audit found that hundreds of accounts on Facebook offering cocaine, amphetamines, benzodiazepines, ecstasy, MDMA, cannabis and a number of other narcotic drugs.

A group of as many as 5,000 members and the bulk of the trade is in the Stockholm area.

– It is now easy to buy drugs online. Availability has increased and it is serious, says Chief Inspector and team leader Stefan Edin.

“We’ve moved us on social media”

Now, the Stockholm Police and the Public Prosecution Office in Västerort – in the operation “Spider “- managed to arrest four people, one of whom is now in custody for drug sales on Facebook. Those arrested are between 18 and 25 years.

The police used the provocations to come to the sellers.

– We have moved digitally on social media and conducted reconnaissance. We have identified the people who sell drugs, approached them under the pretense of being normal buyers of drugs and perform the purchase. In some cases, we have made several purchases before we struck and grabbed the person, says Stefan Edin.

The sale to Facebook, and other social media, is about that you get a contact and then determines a meeting in one place.

Something that brings great risks.

– Those who engage in this are criminals where violence is near. We can see links to serious crime which probably many have not understood. But they call innocent and buy a five, but it’s the people you meet that you fertilize, and there are dangerous people, says Stefan Edin and continues:

– We see several quite innocent where one suddenly stands with one foot in a world that you do not want to be in.

– It is not as innocent as it looks, said Stefan Edin.

“We have to be present”

Right now a study where young people come into contact with sellers of illicit liquor through Instagram. When they met the seller got some in the party robbed and a woman was the victim of rape by several perpetrators.

Many people who move in social media to buy drugs or alcohol is between 18-25 years, many younger than that, and many still live at home.

The Council of parents is to be more present.

– You have to be interested in what your child is doing and not let even children’s lives go adrift. It is important to be present, both physically and virtually, says Stefan Edin.

The police do not rule out more arrests in connection with the effort “spider”.

– The work method is so successful that it can be talk about more arrests. Our hope is that this will scare away players. The seizure we have done will not save the world, but we send a signal that we are there, says Stefan Edin.
