A 31-year old man has probable cause to arrest on suspicion of attempted murder on an eight year old boy in a municipality near Umeå. According to police, the man should have subjected the boy to “a horrific act,” writes Västerbotten Courier online.

The incident occurred shortly after midnight, the night of Sunday, in a residence in a crane Municipality of Umeå. The boy’s mother woke up in the middle of the night by her son screamed. She ran into the baby’s room and was greeted by a terrible sight, the newspaper said.
– She sees how the man makes a horrendous acts against the child, something that fits within the framework of attempted murder, says Mats Bruhn, on-call investigators at Västerbotten police, who did not want to go into the acts of violence that hit the child.

The woman and the child must not have needed medical care for any physical damage.
