Parachutist collided in the air – Radio Sweden

A skydiver from Halmstads Parachute Club nurtured with serious injuries after he collided in the air with another person. Parachute Association will investigate the incident.

It was at a training jump in Eslov on Saturday morning as the man tried to catch up with five other jumpers. But something went wrong and he went straight into one of them.

– He has appeared out of the aircraft and tried to reach the other jumper, and then they collided instead of falling at the same speed, said Henna Canevin, press officer at the Swedish Parachute Association.

The young man, who belongs Halmstads Parachute Club, has several years of experience and has made about 200 jumps.

Parachuting Association’s national trainer is on the way to the scene to investigate the incident. According to the union, it is unusual to have serious accidents in Sweden. The last fatal accident occurred in 2011. The other jumper should have survived without damage.
