Seven young men were convicted of the fire in Berga shopping center in Kalmar for almost four years ago.

Four of the men were convicted of second-degree assault and vandalism, while the remaining three were convicted of incitement. All were young offenders.
They were required to just over 14 million in damages from insurance companies.
– The question is whether insurers will plague the lives of young people, said Torgny Palm then.
Not able to prove
The men have admitted that they fired in rubbish bins standing under a window at the shopping center. But the purpose has never been to the shopping center would be set on fire, they say.
The insurance company Trygg Hansa believes that men have been grossly negligent and therefore should pay damages. But Kalmar District Court does not consider that it is possible to prove.
