Magdalena Andersson hard mark against hate – Aftonbladet

Västerås. Finance Minister Magdalena Andersson gave a personal speech on the S-Congress.

She marked hard against hate and racism – in Sweden and Europe.

– I believe that open societies are growing better than retrograde smug, she says.

The final day on the S-Congress in Västerås was Finance Minister Magdalena Andersson speech to the delegates. She marked where hard against Racism and told how she saw it up close when she was studying in the United States 30 years ago.

– And here I am now. 30 years later. And see how the poison spreads in my country.

Andersson mentioned that feminists, homosexuals, people with other religious backgrounds as particularly vulnerable. She stated that it is now very important for the government to push back unemployment and boost employment.

– It is the best strategy to counter the xenophobic forces, said Andersson.

“It is important to explain who I am”

Afterwards she developed why the speech focused on what Magdalena Andersson sees as growing hatred and racism.

– I did because it’s important to explain who I am and what I stand for. It describes something that has shaped me as a person and politician. There is something big happening in Sweden and Europe when xenophobic forces grow in this way. Here it is important that we take the discussions every day with those we meet.

In the written speech it was clear that Andersson’s speech was directed against the Sweden Democrats. But on stage, she never mentioned the party by name.

– It is absolutely correct that it was in the script. But I thought it was a neater finish like this.

As Finance Minister, will this affect in any way Sweden from an economic perspective?

– Absolutely . One of Sweden’s strengths has always been that we have been open to internationalization and globalization. It is clear that there has been a strength for Swedish growth that we are tolerant and open to innovations. It is not whether one is reactionary and bigoted.
