EU: Maximum of four espresso a day – Helsingborgs Dagblad

EFSA stresses that The most worrying aspect is not all espresso and latte drinking in cafes around Europe without energy drinks with caffeine that has become increasingly popular among young people.

– The main message in the report is that consumers must figure out caffeine from sources other than coffee. The health risk is not huge, but it does exist, says an EFSA official told AFP.

– A teenager who drinks a coffee, a Coke and two or three of Red Bull every day could easily come across the border said the official who did not want to be quoted by name.

Of the 13 countries studied in the report highs Denmark caffeine consumption with 33 percent of the population exceeding the daily dose 400 milligrams. The French ports surprisingly low, with 5.8 percent.
