Almost every third teenager has dental corrosion. The reasons: sports drinks, juices and sodas.
It shows the largest study in this area, conducted by Eastman Institute.
1071 young people between 15 and 17 years were investigated. Of them had 31.4 percent burns on your teeth.
Those who had the most erosions were those who drank the most soft drinks, but for those who used the juice or a sports drink after exercise, there was also a highly significant association, says Maria Skalsky Jarkander, one of the researchers, told SvD.
A larger proportion of 17-year-olds than 15-year-olds were affected.
At the age of 15 begin to go buy their own soda at kiosk and establish their own habits. At age 17 have habits permanented more, says Maria Skalsky Jarkander to SvD.
