Juror prosecuted for child rape – Skovde News

Ting. The man worked at a treatment center and prosecuted for raping a girl who was an inmate at the accommodation.

 Since the man was suspected of a crime, he is suspended from the mission as juror at Skaraborg District Court.

According to the prosecutor, he used the accused girl who was under 17 and that the man had a duty of care for. Rape should have taken place early in January, and the man was arrested on 20 April. Since April 23 is the man under arrest.

The accused man denies the crime, but admits that he was with the girl.

One of the persons to be called as a witness at the trial is a woman who introduced the man when he began working as a substitute in the treatment center. According to the indictment, the woman should testify that the man was aware of the rules of work with young people who were staying at the treatment center. Although he had a “boundless” behavior.

The man is politically active in his home municipality and had been commissioned as a lay assessor. Skaraborg District Court turned the man from office when the allegations became known.

One of the evidence which the prosecution relies to show the man’s relationship to the girl is a receipt. It was proof the man got when he paid when the girl did a tattoo.

The man stopped at the treatment center shortly after the incident. When the incident to the police, he had started as a substitute in a similar accommodation in Skaraborg.

Prosecutor Maria Sterup, which brought the prosecution, working on special Prosecution Office in Gothenburg investigating cases involving police officers, prosecutors, judges, members of parliament and certain other executives.

The girl who is the injured party from the Gothenburg area and had his home municipality placed at the treatment center in Skövde.
