Firefighters portend conflict – Göteborgs-Posten

The discussions on the collective agreement for part-time firefighters have stalled. Strike may break out on 15 June.

After negotiations between the Fire-fighters’ Association and the Swedish municipalities and county councils and Pacta have stranded portends now the union conflict. The move comes in that case, in force on 15 June 0600.

The reasons for conflict layoff is to part-time firefighters want higher wages and better working hours, according to a press release from the Fire-fighters’ Association.

“We are looking very seriously at this and feel compelled to action because the employer does not listen to us,” the Fire-fighters’ Association in the press release.

If the parties fail to find a solution by June 15 introduced a blockade of the service and exercises outside the regular schedule.
