In questioning state 15-year-old that he an hour before the alarm call, when his father and twelve year old brother went to school, killed the stepmother with 8-9 stab after row over a motorcycle.
The story is not questioned. Samir Sabri prosecuted and convicted for murder.
Now, 29 later, appeals his judgment. He states that the recognition was falsely – that he actually witnessed how his father murdered stepmother.
Lawyer Sargon De Basso has gone through the case, which in the spring also examined in Aftonbladet podcast, “The Case”, and leaving the day in a rising application to the Court of Appeal.
– Our new technical and forensic evidence shows that recognition and the father’s alibi was false. We also have a massive witness evidence. The 1986 clarified and the District Court completely overturned, says De Basso.
During his life was the father married four times. The three wives living now testify how he threatened to kill them and two of them said that he confessed to the murder.
In 1988 took Samir Sabri back recognition. The investigation was reopened but was shut down again. The same year he was released – and was forced to move in with her father.
– This has affected my whole life. I have lived in darkness, without emotion. It is only now I started to get back to myself, he says.
Murder Night is blurry, , but the parts he remembers very clearly. He tells how his brother woke him in the middle of the night.
– I see that he is crying and I hear screams. I run into the bedroom and see the father sitting astride my stepmother and stab her.
– He steps away from the bed and go into the shower. Dad comes back with the knife in his hand and says: “We must say you have done it. Otherwise I will kill you and your brother.” I said, “Okay Dad, I do it,” said Samir Sabri.
Investigators Sune Klernäs, now retired, remembers the case well and think it would be good if it was tried again.
– If he stature, I have of course nothing against it, he said.
