One of care in Växjö was lying in his bed for several hours, and was also forced to defecate in bed because she could not get up or alert.
The woman also screamed for help, but nobody heard her. Only after four hours discovered the staff to the assistant who’d taken care of the woman had not come to work.
The event has now investigated the care administration and procedures are in place so that this will not happen again.
Among other things, all the assistants that ticked off by a resource person when they begin their workouts.
The care administration has decided not to report the incident to the Inspectorate for Health Care, IVO, as it believes that the action plan they have developed will suffice.
