Sundsvall. Knowledge, freedom and future.
That was the slogan when the Prime Minister released the news that he hopes will reverse the abysmal state of opinion of the Social Democrats:
A national coordinator for the young who are outside.
In his May Day speech at the main square in Sundsvall, he also spoke about feminism, racism and “Russian aggression”.
The day could not have started any better for Stefan Löfven. The new opinion poll from DN / Ipsos presented this morning show that the Social Democrats now are down to the second lowest level ever on May: 27.7 percent.
– It’s election day, it is decided, said Stefan Löfven at a press conference in Sundsvall before his May Day speech at the main square in Sundsvall.
The Prime Minister released at the same time “jobs news” that he hopes will turn public opinion.
– Sweden needs a national unity for young people outside. The government will now start the job.
Attack against the alliance government
In the May speech, he started by talking about his support for GIF Sundsvall. Since he claimed that the alliance government left behind a Sweden where unemployment has risen and become entrenched.
– No one knows if we had passed four years with a bourgeois government.
The Prime Minister then quoted Sweden Democrats party leader Jimmie Åkesson which declared instructed his party colleagues with the words “Give ‘em hell” in connection with the budget vote in Parliament in the fall.
– and they succeeded. They gave hell to all the sick who could continue to be performing secured, to all young people who expected new educational opportunities to all families with children who were dependent on a better welfare, to all pensioners who wanted better economics, to all unemployed people had to remain in Phase 3rd
Became Personal
Stefan Löfven also became personal in his May Day speech.
– In 56 years ago, I made the same trip from Stockholm to I did today, but we progressed 12 mil longer, to Sunnersta in Ångermanland.
– It took two people to a child of ten months, with no other desire than that the child would be a good way of life . And I did. For that I will always be grateful. And I know that my new parents acted on a simple but powerful reason: Solidarity.
Since the Prime Minister spoke about feminism – and racism:
– Should we reach the EU’s lowest Unemployment required feminist reforms. Sweden can not afford to hold back a single woman power!
He continued:
– We refuse to accept that people try to judge and condemn their peers, according to skin color, origin or belief. In our Sweden is no “us” and “them”. In Sweden there is only “we”!
Must be united
Stefan Löfven also talked about what is happening in Ukraine and in the Middle East right now.
– EU must continue to stand united against Russia’s aggression, which constitutes a violation of international law, he noted.
– And we need to give voice to the suffering of ISIL’s wit willing barbarism. Therefore we are sending a consultative effort to northern Iraq to provide advice and training to all the brave who stand up against these abominable terrorists.
