Flat case for IT investment in Ronneby – Gothenburg Post

Personal tablets for all politicians would save taxpayers’ money.

That was the plan.

But the reality turned into one long technical nightmare with constant errors and problems, reports Sydöstran.

So now returning politicians to the old proven technology: paper documents.

With time growing technical mess even to a democratic problem because politicians in some cases could not even read the documents prior to meetings where they will make decisions. Sometimes they are not even the subject lists, which states what is to be discussed during the meetings.

We were trying to remember what would be treated, says opposition councilor Malin Norfall (S) for the magazine.

Roger Fredriksson (M), Chairman of the City, do not take the word failure in his mouth.

But all experience well that the measure is now the last straw, he tells the magazine.
