Leading Social Democrats Grape Green Party – Swedish Radio

Leading Social Democrats Grape Green Party – Swedish Radio

Now comes new demands on the Social Democrats – in the upcoming election – should completely cut ties to the Green Party. It is wrong to pre-commit to a continued government cooperation with the Greens, according to leading Social Democrats who echo been in contact with.

Niklas Karlsson , president of Skåne’s party district and member of the party, do not think that the Green Party is to have any special status.

– I think that you should be careful not to lock themselves in different configurations, and go out and say what their own party’s policies are and try to win support for it. Then you, when voters have had their say, after the election results March 23, determine which configurations are possible. And then it’s actually up to the parties to deliver.

Before the election in September pointed to the Stefan Löfven the Green Party as a natural partner, and in the fall they formed two parties a red-green government. But yesterday said LO chairman Karl-Petter Thorwaldsson the Social Democrats facing extraordinary election should cut ties with the Green Party.

And according to Prime Minister Stefan Löfven the Social Democrats will go to the polls on their own . But after parliamentary question time yesterday afternoon he stressed at the same time that he has no plans to break cooperation with the Green Party.

– We sit in the government together now, and afterwards it is obviously the options we have. And that is what will apply. More collaboration across the block boundary.

But the leading Social Democrats who echo has been in contact with is – like Karl-Petter Thorwaldsson – against the party in advance, says Green Party should be included in an S-led government. They fear in particular that it may hamper bargains across the block boundary. Today, the Social Democratic party meeting, and then expected to issue discussed.

Niklas Karlsson, president of Skåne’s party district and member of the party executive, has its view clear.

– We have a government and Sweden should be ruled until 22 March. What we are asking voters if the mandate after 22 March. Then you should vote for parties, and not on government and alliance, I think.

Niklas Karlsson do not even the Social Democrats facing extraordinary election shall point out the Green Party as a natural cooperation partners.

– There is of course the case that some parties are doing it better with than others. But I think we should be careful not to lock us before March 22, exactly which parts we can imagine to work with, except for the Sweden Democrats.
