The Moderate strongman in Stockholm resigns as vice mayor.

DN says Sten Nordin that he feels sorrow for the election defeat – and leave in a month.

– It’s a really fun and exciting mission. But now we lost the election, he told the newspaper.

DN he says that the reason for the defection is the loss in the election – when M fell sharply, and the Red-Green became larger than the Alliance.

– I’ve been mayor for 20 years with a small break when I sat in the parliament. It’s a really fun and exciting mission. But now we lost the election. It means that the person who will lead the Moderates in the City Hall must think ahead eight years, first to the election of four years and then four years as Mayor because we intend to win the election. I do not see myself as Mayor in 2022, says Sten Nordin DN.

Finance Commissioner states that he now stops to work as full-time politician – but that he will remain in the City Council.
