The weekend gets really windy – especially Saturday.
Now, SMHI has issued a class 1 warning for very strong gusts.
Vättern drowned an elderly man after his pleasure boat capsized in the severe weather.
Over the weekend draws an autumn storm in from the Atlantic and settles over northern Scandinavia.
The storm will notably affect Norway, writes the Norwegian news site vg.no, and Sweden is not an exception.
Rough seas on Vättern
Most of the country can expect a proper windy weather in the coming days.
On Friday evening, an elderly man drowned when his recreational boat capsized near Big Aspön in northern lake. Search and Rescue describes the weather conditions as very severe with strong winds and rough seas.
– It was a passerby in another boat who discovered a dog that ran around on a small island between Great Aspön and Grönön in the lake. When they looked into the matter more closely encountered the man in the water nearby and this boat. Then they alerted us, says Mathias Ermanbrix, inner officers at Nerike fire department.
Rescue Service sent out to the scene but the man’s life could not be saved.
Rescue Service advises people not to go out at sea now when the wind blows.

Class 1 warning in Sweden
On Friday evening issued SMHI Class 1 warning for very high winds, especially in the northern parts of Sweden.

Nerblåst tree causes train stop
One of the people who have been affected by the storm are Therese Björklund, 27, from Stockholm. Along with her boyfriend John Soderberg, she would go on Friday night train from Stockholm to Oslo to meet some friends.
The train would have arrived in Oslo at 21:55, but after 22 o’clock the train was still in the charlottenberg, where it had been stuck for two and a half hours – because of a tree that was blown down across the trail.
– We are stuck at the platform Charlottenberg, so people have been able to go by train. A bus has been downloaded people and there will be two buses too. Hopefully we’ll go with one of them, but we do not know when the buses come, she says to Aftonbladet.

Temperatures will be up to 17 degrees in southern Svealand, so it will be hot or mild.
