Pär Öberg, from Nazi Swedish Resistance Movement, takes place in Ludvika city council – the Sweden Democrats’ expense.
All indications are that it is a conscious voice coup.
– There is nothing I want to talk to the Times about, says Pär Öberg.
Sweden Democrats had five names on his ballot paper before the municipal elections in Ludvika.
The party looks to have seven seats. And Pär Öberg has now got one of them – through what seems to be a voice coup.
Location in the City Council
Oberg, who is SMR’s spokesperson does indeed have its name written on partly on the official sd ballot, partly shiny sd ballots without other names.
This has given him a total of 18 votes, which then handed to a town council.
Oberg is one of frontfiguererna in an extreme and violent organization.
Many of SMR’s members were sentenced to prison in connection with the notorious attack on an anti-Nazi demonstration in Kärrtorp last year.
A Review Aftonbladet did late last year shows that the attack in Kärrtorp is just one in a series of event as the organization’s members have been guilty.
“We say no Aftonbladet”
The anti-racist Expo Foundation describing SMR as the country’s “most violent and closed högerextremma group.”
When Aftonbladet reaches Pär Öberg on Tuesday afternoon, before the count was over, to talk if he takes the plunge into municipal politics, he says:
– And you think I should talk to the Times about it? he answers.
– We say nothing to Aftonbladet and it’s because we think you are an incredibly Swedish hostile Journal.
You are an extra-parliamentary group that wants to come in the City Council. I want to hear how you reason about it.
– I will discuss it in public. Absolutely. But not via Aftonbladet, says Pär Öberg.
“Not there yet”
Another prominent figure in the SMR, the organization’s leader in Dalarna Pär Sjogren, did not get enough votes to themselves into the City Council in Borlänge.
If the SD would suffer defections, maybe even Sjögren enters.
– If there is any defection is difficult to say how many votes necessary that he should enter. We have to count manually and we are not there yet, says Helle Bryn-Jensen, valansvarig in Dalarna County Administrative Board to Aftonbladet.
