New winds are expected until Monday – Swedish Dagbladet

After thousands of customers losing power during the weekend’s strong winds could power utility Vattenfall on Sunday report that the number of households without electricity in Västerbotten was down in the century.

Although the weekend’s strongest gusts – as most noted speeds up to 24 meters per second in the interior of Norrland – have subsided it will be continued windy in central Norrland and in the mountains on Monday.

– Over the hinterland becomes strong gusts from Monday morning and this morning, but so far looks the wind force out to stay below 21 feet per second, and we have not issued any new Class 1 warnings, says Lovisa Andersson, meteorologist at SMHI.

The low pressure passes and is replaced by a high pressure that spreads out across the country with decreasing temperature as a result.

– daytime temperatures will drop a few degrees, especially in the north, we see again the minus degrees in many areas. From the middle of the week gives high pressure way to a front with rain from the west, says Lovisa Andersson.
