A man died after being knifed hard during Thursday evening in Gothenburg. Witnesses saw him walk in from King’s Park in the Royal Square, where he collapsed.
The man was taken by ambulance to Sahlgrenska hospital but his life could not be saved. Police suspect that he knife murdered, but can not comment if it has seized or identified any suspected offender.
Police had during Thursday no information that it would have been messy in King’s Park. But according to Ulla Brehm, spokesperson for the police in West Bengal, there have been some people in place that can be associated with knife cutting.
– Several people have seen the man come and fall together. We investigate whether there is any surveillance camera nearby. There are traces of blood at the scene, and we have cordoned off for forensic examination, said Ulla Brehm shortly before 22 o’clock on Thursday.
Ulf Lörstad, assistant officer command at the police in West Bengal, said later in the night that there are no links between the murder and the former gang brawl in Gothenburg. Otherwise, he is reticent about the murder, p about being investigated by the county police.
– Door Knocks have been conducted, technical investigation, and analysis of the interrogation is in progress, says Lörstad.
