Green toad thrives in Malmo – Swedish Radio

Malmö municipality is now forced to convert parts of a new industrial park to the natural area to rescue the survival of the critically endangered green toad, writes Sydsvenskan.

In the new industrial area of ​​North Harbour, there are 760 adult toads, which is one of the largest colonies in the country.

Approximately 15 percent of the new area that the municipality has invested one billion crowns in need now protected as a nature area.
