Persson: M and S for equal – Västerbotten Courier

Persson: M and S for equal – Västerbotten Courier

According to former Social Democratic Prime Minister Göran Persson depends Sweden Democrats’ success in elections that S and Moderates become equal, in a rage against the establishment, and that Sweden has become fragmented.

– It’s not in Stockholm they are going well, but it is out in Sweden. Where you suffer from poor mobile coverage, trains that do not go, pensions are too low, jobs lost, young people who move, farms closed down, says Persson in an interview with SVT’s Agenda on Sunday evening.

Persson, Prime Minister 1996-2006 and 1996-2007 S-leader, sees the SD’s success as a “clear warning to Stockholm establishment”. When asked why so many unhappy chosen SD instead of, say S, he answers:

– I think SD’s success is also partly due to the triangulation, the desire to not take risk in politics, that does not show differences, which introduced the Moderates and the Social Democrats have taken for. You are so close to each other. Then it somehow so that when you are angry and dejected as there is no other protest expression.

Persson stresses that the whole political debate situation, not just S, characterized by triangulation.

– Then there will be nothing that is beautiful but everything is just gray everyday.
