2400 searched asyli election final stage – Sydsvenskan

Sweden takes this year received 92,000 asylum seekers – about current refugee influx continues.

It is the third highest in the EU. According to UNHCR, UNHCR surpassed Sweden digits only of Germany and France.

So far this year there have been more than 57 000 asylum seekers to Sweden. So many have never before come. Even in 1994, when the wave of refugees from the Bosnian war climaxed.

The high note is not only due to more than 25 000 people made their way here from the war, Syria. It is also because Sweden has become a common ultimate goal even for people fleeing from Eritrea, Somalia and Afghanistan.

So far this year more than 9,400 Eritreans sought asylum in Sweden. It would, under normal circumstances described as a very strong flow of refugees.

UNHCR regularly reports how many seeking asylum around the world. According to UNHCR statistics for the first half of this year, Sweden is one of the countries where most asylum seekers seek.

• Sweden got in the first six months of 28,511 asylum applications. Only Germany and France received more.

• Sweden is second only to Germany is the country where most Syrians will. In the first half searched 11,776 Syrian citizens residence in Germany, against 11,599 in Sweden.

• Sweden the most common final destination of Eritreans. In January-June, 4170 asylum seekers here from Eritrea, against 3849 for Germany.

• Sweden is the second most frequent final destination for Somalis. During the first half of 2654 Somalis sought asylum in Germany, 1448 in Sweden.

As for Iraqis and Afghans is also Turkey a common asylum. Sweden is the third most common destination for Iraqis and the sixth most common destinations of asylum seekers Afghans.

The UNHCR’s semi-annual figures, it appears that our neighbors receive far fewer asylum applications than Sweden.

Denmark is one of the seven EU countries with the highest number of Syrians seeking asylum, Norway into place five in Europe in terms of applications from Eritreans and Somalis.
