A man in a 70-year-old was taken by ambulance to hospital after being hit in a crosswalk in Eskilstuna.
– The damage is probably very serious, says Lennart Andersson, duty officer at Sörmlandsleden Police.
The accident took place shortly after the watch 15:00 on Monday. The motorist may be investigated for crimes.
– You can not run on people at a crosswalk, but we have not taken hold of that bit yet. First, we will wait and see how it goes for the injured, said Lennart Andersson.
The older man is yet to be identified, police said.
