Struck young mother: “Remember no” – Swedish Dagbladet

It was the fifth of January toddlers mother saw the 21-year-old man at Gamla Stan Metro Station. He was about to steal from an elderly woman. When she tried to cancel theft attempt, she was spat upon and beaten in the face in front of their children.

After an ad in the newspaper Aftonbladet Crime Centre on Thursday, police received tips that led to the arrest of the Migration Board’s detention in New York City, just north of Stockholm. In the evening arrested 21-year-old on suspicion of attempted aggravated theft and assault.

Prosecutor will on Sunday or Monday to decide whether the 21-year-old will be arrested.

According to a study Immigration Service made the suspect is the Algerian state Ekrem Güngör. The man has sought asylum in Sweden, was refused and is now to be deported to Denmark.

– He faces prison, but will be expelled from Sweden if convicted here, says Güngör.

In October 2013, he was deported to Norway, but three months later he was back in Sweden. According to Aftonbladet, he has previously been suspected of threats against the official, violent resistance and trespassing.
