Elsa retains its top position as the most common first name among girls.
For the boys are William again one, after two years at the other location.
But it names such as increasing the most worn – a reality show participants.
Today came SCB’s name statistics on the most common names children received 2015 Elsa and William continues among the most popular – but this year’s rocket among girls’ names are Saga , which has climbed from 21st to fourth place.
Movies inspires
It is near to suspect that the film and television characters have been given an extra boost to some of the most popular names. Elsa is a few years ago such immensely popular as a snow queen in the children’s movie favorite “Frost”.
Kill hand, it is less disruptive to the top. Nine of the ten most popular names were in the top ten again – the newcomer is Messenger goes up from eleventh to ninth.
Kian and Lo soars
The really big climbers are a little further down the list. Most of all names increases boy named Kian – which increased by 115 percent since 2014. In total, 174 boys were given that name last year, making it the 88th most popular boy’s name.
For girls, the Lo climbing the most, with an increase of 50 percent. Lo is number 83 on the list – 162 girls born 2015 listens to the name.
Famous Swedes who may have inspired the increase is Kian Avar from the TV reality show “Paradise Hotel” and artist Tove Lo.
As for Saga – which thus climbs 17 places on this year’s top list – is also the name of a famous “Paradise Hotel” committers, Saga Scott. Moreover, it is the first name in the Sofia Helin’s character in the TV hit “Bridge”.
