The father convicted of killing her nine year old daughter in Balsta this summer will appeal the ruling. The father says that he acted on votes of God who promised him that his daughter would resume.
The Uppsala District Court sentenced the man for murdering his daughter to forensic psychiatric care.
The father claims that he acted on votes of God who promised him that his daughter would resume. National Board of Legal Council considered in its statement that the father does not understand the real consequences of their actions. It is this reasoning that will be the basis for the appeal.
He has not had any real intent. However paradoxical it may sound, said the man’s lawyer Thomas Martinson to P4 Uppland.
The district court concluded to the father’s idea of what would happen to her daughter after the death does not matter the intent of the question. The Court found that the father attacked his daughter in direct order to kill her.
“Nothing has emerged to suggest other than that … have been aware of their actions thus required responsibility,” says in the judgment.
The man was also sentenced including serious assault on the girl’s mother. But Thomas Martinson says that only the charge murder will be appealed.
