Anyone who takes a new license or renew an existing license will receive a card with the new security features. One of them is the red-yellow road sign warning children – where a little bigger kids holding a younger child in hand – are appearing on the driving license back when it gets illuminated with ultraviolet (UV) light.
This is a message of care and concern, writes the Swedish Transport Agency on its website.
Also, other details emerge in UV light, for the driving license of authenticity to be verified by the police and the trade.
Transport Agency changed supplier of driving licenses, and stresses that no new rules took effect and that older models will continue to apply as before.
