Eat more but right – reduce weight – Vasterbotten Courier

To eat more fruits and vegetables can help to lose weight or maintain weight. It shows a study of more than 124,000 American men and women.

Fruit such as apples, pears, blueberries and strawberries contain flavonoids and are rich in antioxidants. They are also found in drinks such as tea and chocolate.

The study was conducted by researchers at Harvard and the University of East Anglia (UEA). Professor Aedin Cassidy at the UEA’s Norwich Medical School says there is a great interest in the impact of flavonoids to prevent cardiovascular problems, diabetes and cancer.

– Many people, when they go on the diet, must do something radical. It is simply stated something that is already good for you can also be good to maintain weight, especially in midlife, when weight gain is associated with increased risk of heart disease and stroke, says Cassidy according to The Guardian.
