An arrest for the bomb that killed 4-year-old Luna – Göteborgs-Posten

A man in his 20s was arrested on Tuesday morning on suspicion of involvement in the bombing of a car on Hisingen last year. Four people died, including a 4 year old girl.

The suspect is in his 20s and residents of Angered. He is known to the police. He was arrested at 8:22 am on suspicion of accessory to murder.
– There are tasks that come up in the investigation that led us to this person, says prosecutor Stina Lundqvist at Gothenburg Public Prosecution to the GP.

On the question of “complicity ” means that he helped someone else to place the explosives in the car, she replies:
– We do not go the way we think he be involved.

Stina Lundqvist adds:
– It is important in this situation that the man is reasonably suspected.
There is a suspicion of the lower rate.

The man comes under Tuesday afternoon to be appointed a public defender.
The blast occurred in Torslanda June 12 last summer. It detonated in the Volvo car in the middle of the afternoon traffic, the roundabout near a fire station.
Four people died of the injuries. There were three men born in 1982, 1986 and 1991, the first two residents of the Bishop’s Palace, the latter in Serbia and on temporary visits to Sweden, and the 4-year-old girl Luna.

The man was born 1982 was the leader of a criminal network in Northern Biskopsgården and undoubtedly had a large number of enemies.
The investigation continued for several months, including with the help of engineers from the Defence Forces and the Swedish Defence Research Agency, FOI, before prosecutor Stina Lundqvist in October went out and told me that all the indications are that it’s about murder.
– The explosive charge was hidden in the car, according to Stina Lundqvist.
