Some thirty youths attacked on Saturday night police with stones and firebombs in Rågsved in southern Stockholm. Ten cars were set on fire and ten people were arrested.
It was at 21.30 o’clock on Saturday that a party at Rågsved School was about to be terminated when a large gang of masked youths turned up outside the premises.
Police who were on the site had stones thrown against him and several squads were called to the scene to search for gang who disappeared against Rågsveds center. The youths then moved around the center of a park and about a football field.

Seven units from Greater Stockholm Fire Brigade were sent to the scene but the firefighters could first not run until the burning cars because there was a risk that young people would attack them. Once they were able to drive until it was made under police escort. Fire fighting then went without a problem when youths disappeared from the scene.
Just after midnight had ten people in their 20s have been arrested, police said. These suspected now for rioting, attempted aggravated assault and arson. No one should be physically damaged, and the situation had since calmed down according to police. Why youths attacked knew the police late on Saturday evening did not.
– We assess the participants as criminals, but if they are part of a criminal gang, we know not yet, says Kjell Lindgren.
