Almost all children vaccinated – Aftonbladet

Stockholm. Almost all two year olds have received the vaccines they should get. It shows the latest statistics from childhood vaccines, writes the Public Health Agency.

Of the children born in 2011, over 98 percent received at least three doses of vaccine against diphtheria, tetanus, pertussis, polio and Haemophilus influenzae type b.

The proportion of children vaccinated with three doses of pneumococcal vaccine or who received vaccine against measles, mumps and rubella (MMR) was almost as large, more than 97 percent.

And even though vaccination against tuberculosis and Hepatitis B is only offered to children with increased risk of exposure to infection, the proportion of vaccinated children still relatively high against these diseases, 26 and 42 percent.
