There’s a fire in an apartment block in Arvika.
A woman has been rescued from the house and taken to hospital with serious injuries.
– The output is uncertain, says Lars-Erik Karlsson, head of rescue operations in emergency, if the injured woman.
Just after half past six on Monday evening were the emergency services to central Arvika, where there burned the roof of a house with four apartments.
– It is completely destroyed, says Lars-Erik Karlsson.
The alarm came in when someone discovered the fire in the roof of the property.
– It is difficult to extinguish because it is completely metal roof on the house, and it is under the plate, says Lars-Erik Karlsson.
In the house found a woman who has been taken to hospital.
– In the apartment where the fire started found a seriously injured woman. She was flown by air ambulance to Karlstad and Uppsala, says duty officer Jan-Åke Sjöström at police in Värmland.
A man who was in an apartment on the floor below had to jump out to cope, according to fire chief .
The rescue has three stations in place, a force of about fifteen men.
– We believe that there is no proliferation risk. But there are very strong winds so there will be a lot of smoke, says Lars-Erik Karlsson.
