New details have emerged about the suspect the man since his arrest.
– He has been driving around in his car and made contact with several other girls in Skelleftea. But he is not guilty of these or similar crimes, says Eva Tjernström, internal officers at police in Skelleftea.
The police do not want to go into exactly how many previous incidents they know.
It was on Monday evening that the now arrested the man stopped his car and began talking to the 16-year-old girl. When she did not want to step into the car, the man to have gone out and tried to pull her up, but the girl managed to get away and alert the police.
The man is unknown to the girl.
