Anyone who lives in an urban environment are smarter than those who live in rural areas. So, it looks to be in the least if you’re a bird, specifically a barbadosfink. It shows a new study published in the journal Behavioral Ecology.

Canadian scientists sounded examine two groups of species, one with a birds living in urban, the other rural birds. It turned out that the former group, both were better at problem solving – a very important feature for animals in the wild – and had a stronger immune system.

Scientists believe that one explanation is that urban birds by their adaptation to the urban environment has become better use of resources in a more favorable way.
