Police in Sodermanland took on Thursday received a call regarding a suspected dangerous items on board a train between Gothenburg and Stockholm.
– the suspicion arose after the crews have received information that some people expressed themselves in a way that created anxiety among the passengers, said Fredrik Kliman, spokesman for the police.
All travelers were evacuated. The train departed from Gothenburg 18:30 was stopped just before 21 at Katrineholm. The train was expected to reach Stockholm at 21:30.
National bombers guard called to the scene to do a survey of the train. They were assisted by officers from Sodermanland.
– Two people have been taken for questioning. One is a witness and the other is a person who should have expressed himself in a way that has caused concern. No formally arrested, says Fredrik Kliman.
The train is moved to another location for further examination.
A person on site tells the GP train were evacuated after a long wait and that passengers in three the cars are not allowed to take their luggage.
– It is possible that you want to investigate some of the luggage, said Fredrik Kliman.
According to SJ means the event delays on the route.
– Right now, it is no traffic passing Katrineholm. We are looking at other solutions, while we await the response from the police, says Lisa Silow on SJ’s press service.
During the night ended the police search the train and there is no suspicion of a crime.
