Räddningspådrag in difficult mountain weather – Sveriges Radio

A couple in their 60s received help close Sylarna.

– We got a call from a man who met the couple from the mountain station and Enkälen. They were frozen, wet and tired and under the notifier woman was in very poor condition. There is no mobile coverage in the area so the man went to the station and phoned, says Oscar Berglund, duty officer at the police in Jamtland, said.

A skier on mountain at Vålådalen got also help. And in the evening, a group of six people stuck in a shelter near the Ramundberget. They waited for help even at 20:30 pm.

– We have phone contact with them and they have the equipment, but the storm is expected to continue as mountain rescuers will rescue them, says Berglund.

It blows around 20 meters per second and snowing heavily in the area.
