News Recent opinion polls show that the winds are turning for the Social Democrats.
The government has had a difficult year behind it, but now it seems the winds turn around, according to DN / Ipsos survey in March. Opinion polls show that the Social Democrats will increase by 3.8 percent and therefore 28.9 percent, which is the party’s highest figure since March last year.
What lies behind the rise, according to Ipsos, the Social Democrats win back voters from the Sweden Democrats. The survey shows that SD has lost 4.2 percentage points since December and that more voters go over the Conservatives and the Social Democrats.
– SD voters wanted to send a signal to their old parties that they were unhappy with refugee policy. Now, refugee policy changed radically. My interpretation is that some disaffected voters feel that their old parties have been listening, says David Ahlin, opinion director at Ipsos DN.
