The world’s oldest person, Japanese, Misao Okawa, turned 117 on Thursday. Okawa, one of the few still living who were born in the 1800s, “is in good shape,” said a representative of the nursing home where she lives.
She already celebrated on Wednesday, surrounded by family. Among the guests were her 92-year-old son and one great-grandchild of two years.
