Gothenburg municipal energy does not give up plans to build 15 wind turbines in Gothenburg harbor.
Land and Environment Court said no to the wind farm, but Gothenburg Energy’s Board of Directors has now decided to appeal.
The court referred particularly to the interests of navigation, that the wind turbines would be built on contaminated dredged material, and that the social benefits were not proven.
Gothenburg Energy argues that the chosen site is the only possible to build large-scale wind power in the municipality. But the board of directors disagrees. The members of M and FP did not appeal the ruling.
Wind Power plans have been criticized by both associations and individuals. Although the Environmental Protection Agency said no, as a consultative body.
