A raging fire erupted early Sunday morning on an industrial estate in Uddevalla.
Several trucks were parked on the site was destroyed by fire.
The rescue services have during the morning worked with several forces to extinguish the fire.
The alarm about the fire arrived just before 4 o’clock on Sunday. Reportedly, it was a truck that was burning on a parking Kuröds industrial park in Uddevalla.
But when räddningsjänsten arrived it was seven trucks that had caught fire.
– It was full speed . And there was an imminent risk of spread to the other articulated lorries, says Ulf Gustavsson, team leader of the emergency services.
The fire is believed to have started in one of the vehicles and then spread further.
At 6:30 pm, the fire was under control.
– Now get the trucks burn out. It is difficult to extinguish when there is so much combustible material in them. So we’ll be here a few more hours, says Ulf Gustavsson.
The place is now cordoned off and police have launched a preliminary investigation into suspected arson.
No one person is reported to have been injured.
