Nine people were injured, six of them seriously, when a light truck and a minivan collided on County Road 263, between Bålsta and Enköping at the height of Kivinge.
The truck drove in from a connecting road when the vehicles collided. All persons who were sitting in the cars, a total of nine injured. The accident occurred at 9-30 pm.
– three had to be taken away in ambulance helicopter to Uppsala and Stockholm, says Mats Öjdahl, the officer in charge at Uppsala police.
Six people were taken to University Hospital in Uppsala by ambulance, including fractures and head injuries.
Four of the passengers who are treated at the University Hospital and the two that are at the Karolinska is seriously injured. Three people are reported to be slightly injured.
Because of the accident yesterday Uppsala University Hospital, which received seven injured, into a so-called enhancement mode.
The county road is now turned off and salvage work in progress.
