At least 3000 people attended the season opener at Mörrums Kronolaxfiske to see the spectacle that followed when the first 250 anglers from far and wide eagerly waded out into the rushing water.
Everyone got not turn back with their catches. During the day was 70 fish up. One of the first, a trout of 65 inches, caught by Emma Condrup from Helsingborg.
It was Kronolaxfiskets 75th official vårfiskepremiär. But salmon fishing tradition in Morrum stretches back to the 1200s.
Mörrums Salmon run by state Sveaskog and is a knowledge center for fishing and fish conservation. Fish premiere is one of southern Sweden’s safest sign of spring. During the following season usually sold approximately 15,000 fishing licenses.
