Evacuees in Nyköping get to sleep elsewhere even in the night – Swedish Radio

It is still unclear when the tenants who were evacuated after the explosion in the area Brandkärr in Nyköping yesterday can move back. Police will still have their cordon and additional investigation time at the discretion of prosecutors.

– We have worked out solutions for 17 apartment owners so that they have a roof over head. So we must hope that they can get back to their apartments in the morning. We have a couple of them living stay in hotels. Four tenants living in senior housing Mariebergsvägen estate and other relatives, says Christer Gustavsson, president of municipal Nyköpingshem.

Between 20 and 30 people in a stairwell, 17 apartment owners, have been evacuated, according to Christer Gustavsson.
