Hard for refugees to work

Refugees have big problems to enter the labor market and gain self-sufficiency. 15,470 persons of those who received permanent residence permit in Sweden in 2004 are still registered in Sweden and of working age. Approximately ten years later, not even half of them an income of 13,000 dollars a month, according to a survey that DN has done.
The median income for refugees is 11 100 dollars a month – compared with 23 700 SEK month for the entire population of Sweden. At least three out of ten receiving financial assistance.

A major problem in Sweden is that there are difficulties in taking note of what education you have and validate it. There are opportunities for improvement, says Eskil Wadensjö, Professor of Economics at Stockholm University, told the newspaper.
