Chaos when the contenders took heavy SD-mail – Aftonbladet

The battle for the presidency of SD’s Stockholm District looks to be settled.

The meeting on Sunday lasted over eight hours and is described as chaotic.

The challenger William Hahne won – but the decision are already threatened by the invalidation of the mother party.

– I am convinced that it blamed afterwards. How can I not speculate, says Henrik Wing, SD’s press secretary.

Chairman battle in the Sweden Democrats Stockholm District stood between former president Maria Danielsson and challenger William Hahne.

He is vice president of the SDU and has long been in conflict with the party leadership within the Sweden Democrats. Recently it became known that Hahnemann is subject to an exclusion investigation led by the party member committee.

The meeting a “farce”

At the Stockholm District’s annual meeting in Alviks Civic on Sunday attended 250 members. But several had to turn in the door. The large turnout and a brawl on the electoral roll, where only 187 of those who attended were given the right to vote, delayed annual meeting strongly.

While it lasted, it was criticized by members of the site. On Twitter, called member Christian Westling meeting a “farce”.

Hahne’s proposal won

During the evening, it was decided that the number of members of the new board will be eleven. It was described as a partial victory for William Hahne, because it meant that the committee’s proposal was voted down.

Shortly thereafter, leaving both Linus Bylund and Kent Ekeroth meeting.

At 23 o’clock was the issue of the presidency has not yet begun. A discussion about the postponement of the meeting should have begun, but any adjournment was not of.

“Great time”

According to Gustav Kasselstrand, president of the SDU, they tried he calls ” losers “to adjourn the meeting in order to avoid a vote on the president.

– I have never seen like bad losers, he said.

The vote was carried out at last and William Hahne was elected by a resounding yes, says Gustav Kasselstrand.

– This is one of the biggest moments I experienced in the lot in ten years. The internal democracy has triumphed. Although they embarked personal case against William and half his board is a resounding majority of the voting for him, says Kassel Beach and adds:

– It is a great moment. I’m almost a little teary-eyed.

The decision threatened to void

But there is a risk that the decision be annulled, according to Henrik Vinge’s press secretary SD. He states that it was decided in advance that the meeting would end at 21.30.

– The obvious problem is that many would go home at 21:30. Large parts of the meeting did then. I am convinced that it blamed afterwards. How can I not speculate, says Henrik Vinge.

What do you think about the choice of William Hahne?

– We’ll see what it results. If it leads to changes and if so what.

How does this affect the exclusion matter?

– It remains to be seen. To begin with, personal matters lead to a variety of things. The process is ongoing and it requests written comments available including William may give views on the matter, says Henrik Vinge.

Hahne: Great victory

After the meeting was William Hahne excited and happy.

– It feels really good. This is a great victory for internal democracy within the Sweden Democrats. The members have had their say and choose the candidate they want, says William Hahne.

Do you find it a victory even though many left the meeting and it is likely to be annulled?

– There is no basis for invalidating this meeting. They go because they are bad losers is their thing, but we held the meeting to the letter and we won.

How did you experience the fact that the meeting was trying to finish at 23?

– It is quite obvious what it tried to deal with. They tried to delay the meeting to adjourn it.

“The members have spoken”

What was the reason?

– A thought may be that the person matters and exclusion of cases are initiated against us to have time to be executed.

Are you worried about it?

– If the SD do that they have once and for all prove to the Swedish people that SD is not a democratic party.

It’s hard words.

– Yes, that’s it. The members have spoken and appointed the principal members of the district. I hope that we will overcome the conflicts that have been and go on from here and work towards the same goal.

Want to “bridge gaps”

What impact do you think the appointment of You means for the party at the national level?

– Hopefully it leads to greater internal democracy.

Do you think it can increase the split between SD and SDU?

– I hope not. I want to bridge the gaps that have been. I will be the one who holds my hand outstretched. I hope we can go on from here and work towards the same common goal.

Does the process damaged the party?

– Yes, I think so definitely. It has become apparent that internal democracy within the Sweden Democrats is not something that you value so highly on all fronts, says William Hahne.
