Police forced to drop some people – Västerbotten Courier

Domestic Police in northern Sweden has been forced to let go of people who will enter the Finnish Immigration detention , reports Aftonbladet. There is no custody north of Gävle, which is 100 mil from Kiruna.

– Anyone caught someone in a spontaneous track may mean that they are not in custody. We have no way to transport them, said Marcus Nilsson, head of border police in the Nord region, told the newspaper.

According to Interior Minister Anders Ygeman (S) need more detention places, but it is too early to say where the should be.

– the Government will give priority to return in future budgets. Both the police and the Immigration Service will have the resources and tools necessary to keep order. It will notably involve more detention places, says Ygeman.
