Nybro paid 3.5 million for a road inside the company Kährs area in 2010. It was a breach of the Local Government Act according to experts in administrative law.
Large trucks driving in and out on the road leading to Kährs stock. Inside the field the road continues as the municipality built for taxpayers’ money.
The reason that the municipality built the road was the big warehouse Kährs built. 30 warehouse workers who were placed in Kalmar thus had to start working in Nybro instead.
According to Olle Lundin, professor of administrative law at the University of Uppsala, this is an illegal business:
– If we assume that provide support for labor market reasons, it is completely illegal and in contravention of the Municipal Act. These municipal funds are supposed to be used for childcare and eldercare.
Ironically, not the total number of employees more at Kährs Nybro factory the following years, according to the company’s human resources department.
warehouse workers moved from Kalmar to Kalmar – but overall were the jobs of Kährs not more. In December 2010, the 720 employees in the Nybro factory and in December 2011 was the same. In December 2012, the number of employees dropped to 690th
First, last year it became more employees back of Kährs, but it had nothing to do with the stock transfer in 2010.
– I believe that taxpayers ultimately have profited from this, says Inger Rydbrink who was mayor when the decision was taken.
How?
– I think that we have jobs and we cherish a large and important companies.
Is it okay to break the law to do this?
– We’ve never discussed this with breaking the law, but I would say yes.
The day after the interview, contact Inger Rydbrink P4 Kalmar and clarifies his statement. In an email she wrote that she believes it was the right decision, but do not think that the municipality has violated the law.
